About Sean Bannon
After spending the first part of his career working for a prominent Portland defense firm, Sean rededicated his practice to representing individuals and families who have been injured through the negligence of others. He also represents business clients in litigation and transactional matters. His clients benefit from his big firm experience and his small firm attention to them as individuals.
Sean brings extensive experience in personal injury matters, having represented clients in cases involving car and truck accidents, product defects, medical malpractice, and claims of wrongful death. He also represented a number of prominent local and regional employers in employment and civil rights cases. Sean is familiar with how insurance defense firms evaluate cases and defend them at trial, which lends invaluable strategy and credibility to his client’s cases.
He also has significant experience in business law and litigation, representing clients in commercial lease negotiations, foreclosure defense, and various contract disputes.
Sean obtained his law degree from the University of Oregon, where he was a member of the school’s appellate moot court team and worked as a clerk-extern in Lane County Circuit Court for Judge Lyle C. Velure.
As a former NCAA Division I soccer player, Sean learned about dedication and competition at an early age. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in both Political Science and International Studies. Sean also obtained a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University, a nationally recognized graduate program. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sean spent five years working as an affordable housing developer, helping low-income families to find stability and safety in well-designed housing throughout Oregon.
